Blessing Health System in Quincy, Ill., named Irshad A. Siddiqui, MD, chief health information officer, according to a Herald-Whig report.

1. Dr. Siddiqui is American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventative Medicine certified.

2. In his new role, he will oversee the design, implementation and use of health IT at Blessing Health System.

3. Blessing Health System includes two hospitals, a nursing college, a multispecialty practice group as well as a foundation.
