Berwick Hospital Center names new executives: 6 things to know

Commonwealth Health Berwick (Pa.) Hospital Center has named two new chief officers.

Here are six things to know about the new executives.

Doreen Kolojejchick, MSN, BSN, RN, was named CNO.

1. Most recently, Ms. Kolojejchick was assistant nursing officer at Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) General Hospital.

2. She was also previously CNO of Special Care Hospital in Nanticoke, Pa., for 23 years, and assistant CNO of Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami for 10 years. 

3. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla.

Mark McHugh was named assistant CEO.

4. Mr. McHugh recently served as administrative specialist at Regional Hospital of Scranton (Pa.).

5. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bloomsburg (Pa) University, as well as a master's degree in health services administration from Marywood University, also in Scranton. He is attending the Jay S. Sidhu School of Business and Leadership at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre where he is pursuing a master's degree in business administration.

6. Mr. McHugh completed an administrative residency at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton and has worked in hospital management at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and First Hospital in Kingston, Pa
