Bernard Tyson Assumes Kaiser Permanante Chairmanship

Bernard Tyson has assumed his duties as chairman of the board of directors at Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanante.

In November 2012, Mr. Tyson was selected as chairman and CEO of the organization. He began serving as CEO in July 2013 and officially began his role as chairman on Jan. 1, 2014.

Mr. Tyson has been with Kaiser Permanante for about 30 years and has served the organization in many different capacities, including hospital administrator, division president, executive vice president for health plan and hospital operations, president and COO.
