Bell Hospital CEO Floyd Bounds resigns

Floyd Bounds has resigned as CEO of Bell Hospital in Ishpeming, Mich., according to an Upper Michigan Source report.

Mr. Bounds led the 25-bed critical access hospital as it was acquired by Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Hospitals last year.

Lifepoint has begun a national search to find Mr. Bounds’ replacement. Mitchell Leckelt, assistant administrator for Marquette (Mich.) General Hospital, will serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is named.
