Since 2011, Dr. Gilpin has served as medical director of infection control and section head of infectious disease at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe. Previously, he was chief fellow of infectious disease at Beaumont, Royal Oak (Mich.).
Dr. Gilpin, an infectious disease specialist, is an assistant professor at both Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Mich., and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing.
Dr. Gilpin is a member of the American Medical Association and Infectious Disease Society of America. He succeeds Donna Hoban, MD, who will now serve as the hospital’s patient safety officer.
