Beacon hospital taps new president

Sarah Paturalski has been named president of Beacon Dowagiac (Mich.), effective this summer.

Prior to her new role, Ms. Paturalski served as interim president of Memorial Hospital of South Bend (Ind.), a 423-bed facility, according to an April 9 news release. She also served as vice president of nursing and clinical services at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

Both Beacon Dowagiac and Memorial Hospital of South Bend are part of South Bend-based Beacon Health System.

Lee Herschberger will serve as interim vice president of nursing and clinical services at Memorial Hospital, effective April 13.  Prior to his new role, Mr. Herschberger served as executive director of operations at Beacon’s Three Rivers (Mich.) Health Hospital.

Mary Wendt was also named interim vice president of operations at Three Rivers Health, effective April 13. Prior to her new role, Ms. Wendt served as executive director of operations at Beacon’s Elkhart (Ind.) General Hospital.
