Baystate Health Eastern region leader Michael Moran to resign

Michael Moran, president and chief administrative officer of the Eastern region at Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health, plans to resign, effective Nov. 1, according to a MassLive report.

Mr. Moran has worked at Baystate Health for 17 years, assuming his current position in 2016. Before that, he was vice president for clinical, facilities and guest services for the health system.

During his time at Baystate, he led several construction projects, including the expansion of Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. He also led the development of a $550,000 oncology unit at Baystate Mary Lane Outpatient Center in Ware, Mass.

Health system officials did not comment on Mr. Moran’s plans after he resigns.

Molly Gray, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for Baystate’s Eastern region, will succeed Mr. Moran.
