Mr. Chambers previously served as CIO of Scott & White Healthcare in Temple, Texas. Last fall, Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare completed their merger, forming the largest nonprofit health system in the state. Mr. Chambers is now in charge of IT for the entire organization.

“Healthcare IT is becoming increasingly important in eliminating repetition and reducing waste and inefficiencies in the healthcare system, while improving patient care — and not just at Baylor Scott & White Health, but around the nation,” said Mr. Chambers in a news release. “It’s really an exciting time to be in healthcare IT.”
