BayCare taps Tampa General leader for VP of physician affairs

Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System named Jennifer McVan vice president of physician affairs.

Ms. McVan stepped into her new role April 15 with more than 25 years of leadership experience, according to a system news release.

“With her extensive experience in providing strategic support to physicians, Jennifer will play a key role as BayCare expands its physician, allied health professional and academic enterprise,” BayCare Chief Physician Executive Sowmya Viswanathan, MD, said in the release.

Previously, Ms. McVan served as senior director of marketing, communications, media and partnerships at Tampa General Hospital, where she oversaw physician campaigns.
