Bartlett Regional Hospital CEO Christine Harff Resigns After 1 Year

Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska, announced its CEO Christine Harff has announced her resignation after just one year, according to a Juneau Empire report.

Ms. Harff was named to lead the hospital in August 2012, before which she served as CEO of Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls, Minn. Her last day is expected to be Oct. 18.

Linda Thomas, president of the board of directors, said in a press release that "Juneau's community hospital was not a good fit for Ms. Harff," according to the report.

Her resignation comes soon after Ms. Harff was directed by the hospital board to address allegations of a hostile work environment created by senior management officials. She also came under scrutiny for a plan to reduce the hospital's staff by 15 positions this year, according to a KTOO News report.
