Barbara Martin, RN, BSN. President and CEO of Vista Health System (Waukegan, Ill.). Ms. Martin was appointed to the position of president and CEO in 2006 and has seen the health system through a growth period that included a wide range of multi-million dollar expansion and renovation projects. She began her career at Vista Health System in 2003 as the health system’s COO. Prior to her tenure at Vista, she held various leadership roles at several hospital systems, including Mokena, Ill.-based Provena Health, Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill., and Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Ill., among others. Ms. Martin obtained her MBA at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.
