Baptist Health System taps Trip Pilgrim to lead as CEO: 4 things to know

San Antonio-based Baptist Health System named Trip Pilgrim CEO.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Pilgrim most recently served as senior vice president for acquisition, corporate partnership, business development and marketing strategy at Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, Baptist’s parent company.

2. He has also previously served as CEO of Baptist Health System, from 2005 to 2009.

3. Current Baptist Health System President and CEO Graham Reeve will continue serving as president, while taking on the COO role.

4. During Mr. Reeve’s tenure, the system opened Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio and helped established the first ACO in San Antonio.
