Baptist Health names inaugural VP, quality officer

Baptist Health has tapped Jeremy Goodman, MD, to serve in the newly created role of vice president and system quality officer, effective May 15.

In this role, Dr. Goodman will oversee efforts to enhance quality, patient safety and clinical excellence. He will report to Timothy Groover, MD, senior vice president and system chief medical officer, the Jacksonville, Fla.-based system said in a news release sent to Becker’s

Dr. Goodman joins Baptist Health from Banner-University Medical Center in Phoenix, where he served as CMO. He previously served as associate professor, attending surgeon and fellowship director of abdominal transplant surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
