Mr. Thompson has almost 30 years of experience in healthcare management and finance. Most recently, he served as the health system CFO at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. Prior to that role, he was the UMMC Health System’s director of finance and chief accounting officer.
“Bill has extensive experience in the financial and revenue cycle management as well as strong technical knowledge within the healthcare industry. He will be a great asset to Baptist,” Baptist Health Systems CEO Chris Anderson said.
Mr. Thompson is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
