Baptist Health Richmond (Ky.), a 105-bed hospital, has named Morgan Blanton, DO, vice president and chief medical officer.
Dr. Blanton joined the hospital in 2019 as a hospitalist and has served in several leadership roles, including patient safety and quality medical director and hospital medicine medical director, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Baptist Health Richmond is part of Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health, which operates 10 hospitals. The system announced Dr. Blanton’s appointment in a July 6 LinkedIn post.
Erica Gregonis, MD, is CMO of Baptist Health Richmond. Dr. Blanton will assume the CMO position in September, according to the post.
“Becoming chief medical officer at Baptist Health Richmond is a privilege I don’t take lightly — especially following Dr. Gregonis who set a standard of leadership that is rooted in Baptist Health’s mission,” Dr. Blanton said in the post.
