Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health named Denver Mitchell executive vice president and chief human resources officer, effective Sept. 1.
Ms. Mitchell joins Baptist Health from Fayetteville, N.C.-based Cape Fear Valley Health, where she served as senior vice president and CHRO, according to an Aug. 17 health system news release shared with Becker’s.
She has more than 22 years of experience in human resources, including 16 in healthcare. At Cape Fear Valley Health, she led human resources strategy for a health network with eight hospitals and 10,000 employees.
Before joining Cape Fear Valley Health, Ms. Mitchell directed human resources strategy at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Baptist Health includes six acute care hospitals and more than 200 ambulatory locations.
