Dr. Eichenberger will step down in early November, but he will continue to practice medicine through the end of the year.
He became leader of Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in October 2015, which joined Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health on Oct. 1, 2016, and was renamed. During his tenure, Dr. Eichenberger led several IT system enhancements and integration efforts, including the implementation of a new EHR system.
Dr. Eichenberger is a board-certified adult internal medicine and pediatrics specialist.He joined Floyd Memorial in 1978.
