Mr. Bender previously served as the CFO for Ballad’s Northeast region, according to his LinkedIn page. Before joining Ballad, he served as vice president of operations for Bristol (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center.
Ballad Health’s Northern region includes hospitals in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
Mr. Bender succeeds Sean Mills, who was promoted in September to senior vice president and CFO of acute services and market operations.
