Ballad Health names chief revenue officer

Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health has named Shana Tate chief revenue officer, according to a Sept. 17 post on her LinkedIn page.

Ms. Tate rejoined Ballad Health in April 2023 to serve as vice president of financial management, according to her LinkedIn page. She previously served as senior vice president of revenue cycle management between June 2018 and June 2020. She served as senior vice president of revenue cycle at Ensemble Health Partners from June 2020 to March 2023. 

Ballad Health was created in 2018 through the merger of Johnson City, Tenn.-based Mountain States Health Alliance and Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System. Prior to the merger, Ms. Tate held several roles at Mountain States Health Alliance, including AVP of revenue cycle, according to her LinkedIn page.
