Aurora BayCare Medical Center names new CMO: 3 things to know

Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis., has named Gary Collins, MD, CMO, effective in August.

Here are three things to know about Dr. Collins.  

1. He currently is a fellowship trained surgical critical care physician at Regions Hospital, a 454-bed tertiary care medical center in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

2. Dr. Collins holds numerous administrative roles at Regions Hospital including medical director quality/safety, medical director surgical intensive care unit, assistant medical director HealthPartners Medical Group and chief of surgery.

3. He earned a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, which has campuses in Duluth, Minn., and Minneapolis. Dr. Collins also earned a master’s degree in business administration from St. Thomas in Minneapolis.
