Atlantic Health System names former Johns Hopkins executive Brian Gragnolati CEO

Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System has named Brian A. Gragnolati president and CEO, effective May 4.

Currently, Mr. Gragnolati serves as senior vice president of the community division at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, Md. There, he is responsible for overseeing the operations of three owned and two affiliated community hospitals, numerous ambulatory and surgery centers and community physician integration.

Prior to Johns Hopkins, Mr. Gragnolati served as president of York (Pa.) Hospital, Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.

Mr. Gragnolati will replace Joseph P. Trunfio, Atlantic Health System’s current CEO, who is retiring after more than 20 years of service. Mr. Trunfio announced his plans to retire last September.
