In his new role, Mr. Nowlin will oversee Tulsa, Okla.-based Ascension St. John Health System, which includes six hospitals and 70-plus additional sites of care.
Most recently, he served as president of Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Prior to that, he held leadership roles with Gwinnet Health System in Lawrenceville, Ga., Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston and a private financial planning firm in Tulsa.
Mr. Nowlin holds a master of health administration degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the Oklahoma Hospital Association’s board of trustees.
