Gregory Ammon was appointed president of Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Ill., effective Sept. 13.
Mr. Ammon has served as the hospital’s COO since 2023, overseeing growth strategies, clinical programming and patient experience, according to a Sept. 1 news release. He joined the hospital in 2017 as director of operations for outpatient services.
“My main goal as president will be to continue building upon the legacy of excellence and quality, ensuring access to our services to meet the needs of everyone in the communities we serve,” Mr. Ammon said in the release. “We are committed to caring for all who turn to us during their times of need, while also being a workplace of choice for talented professionals in the behavioral health field.”
Mr. Ammon is a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois and Wisconsin with more than 25 years of experience providing therapeutic interventions for individuals and families across all age ranges, the release said. He spent 18 years at Beloit (Wis.) Health System, where he was a director across medical and psychiatric clinics and patient service areas.
Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital is part of Ascension Illinois, which operates five hospitals and more than 80 sites of care in the Chicago area and is part of St. Louis-based Ascension.
