St. Louis-based Ascension has promoted Susan Newton to vice president of finance for its Florida market, effective Feb. 1.
Ms. Newton most recently served as CFO of Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County Hospital, a 134-bed hospital in Middleburg, Fla. In her new role, she will provide market-level financial leadership and support growth initiatives, according to a Jan. 29 news release from Ascension, which operates 91 hospitals.
Before joining Ascension in 2024, Ms. Newton served as COO of Broward Health North in Pompano Beach, Fla., according to her LinkedIn profile. She has also held CFO roles at hospitals operated by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health and Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
