Arkansas hospital taps COO as administrator

Peter Austin has been appointed senior vice president and administrator of Jefferson Regional in Pine Bluff, Ark.

Since rejoining the hospital in 2017, Mr. Austin has been instrumental in expanding its physician network, according to an Oct. 2 Facebook post from the hospital. 

Mr. Austin served as vice president and COO from 2017 to 2021, and most recently served as senior vice president and COO, according to his LinkedIn profile

He previously served as Jefferson Regional’s vice president of physician practice management from 2012 to 2015. He was executive director of physician practice operations at Piedmont Athens (Ga.) Regional from 2015 to 2017.

Jefferson Regional is a 300-bed acute care hospital.
