Ardent taps executive to oversee 30 hospitals

David Schultz was named president of hospital operations for Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health.

Mr. Schultz, who has served in the role on an interim basis since December, will oversee 30 hospitals in Idaho, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Kansas and New Jersey, according to an April 4 news release. 

More specifically, he will help develop and strengthen key service lines, transfer center operations, provider relations, and planning and development activities, the release said.

Mr. Schultz most recently served as president of Ardent’s five-hospital New Mexico market. He also previously was senior vice president of operations and service lines for Tacoma, Wash.-based Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
