Carolyn Schneider, CHRO of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Ardent Health, has retired, she wrote in a Feb. 2 LinkedIn post.

Ms. Schneider stepped into the role in June 2021 and has been serving as a senior consultant to the system since January, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She described her retirement as an intermission, “rather than a finale.”

“After an incredible journey filled with brilliant colleagues, mentors, and friendships that have shaped me, I’m stepping into retirement — on a trial basis,” she wrote. “Most importantly, I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this sweet journey and for the privilege of lasting relationships that the Nashville healthcare community knows so well.”

Before joining Ardent Health, Ms. Schneider was CHRO at Brentwood, Tenn.-based Corizon Health from 2018 to 2020.

Ardent Health operates 30 hospitals and 280 sites of care across six states.
