Anthony Tersigni, EdD. President and CEO of Ascension (St. Louis). Since 2012, Dr. Tersigni has served as the president and CEO of Ascension, a 141-hospital faith-based health system. He joined the health system in 2001 as the executive vice president and COO of Ascension Health before being promoted to president and CEO of Ascension Health. Under his leadership, Ascension completed several health system acquisitions, bringing the current number of care sites to 2,500 across 22 states and the District of Columbia. Dr. Tersigni also established the health system’s 11 subsidiaries, which offer services such as physician practice management and venture capital investing. In 2012, Dr. Tersigni developed the Ascension Leadership Academy, a three-year program helping prepare the next generation of healthcare leaders.
