AMA Elects Dr. Steven Stack as President-Elect

Steven Stack, MD, has been affirmed as the American Medical Association’s president-elect, with his duties to take effect in 2015, according to a MedPage Today report.

Dr. Stack is the first board-certified emergency physician to be named president-elect, and he will be the youngest serving president when he takes office at age 43, according to the report.

Since 2006, Dr. Stack has served on the AMA’s board of trustees. Additionally, he worked with the Health Information Technology Advisory Group from 2007 to 2013.
