Grand Forks, N.D.-based Altru Health System has selected a CEO for the hospital it is in the process of acquiring from Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health.

Tanner White will serve as CEO of the future Altru Hospital in Devils Lake, N.D., once the acquisition is finalized, according to a May 6 news release from the health system.

Mr. White spent seven years with Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health, where he held roles including vice president of network operations. In that role, he served as a liaison between the system and the boards of several critical access hospitals and helped expand specialty care services.

Altru signed a nonbinding letter of intent in June to acquire the Devils Lake critical access hospital.
