Heather Strandell has been named COO of Grand Forks, N.D.-based Altru Health System, effective Sept. 7, according to an Aug. 13 LinkedIn post from the health system.
Ms. Strandell, who has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, has been with Altru for more than 22 years.
In her new role, Ms. Strandell will provide executive oversight of inpatient and outpatient operations at the health system.
“Heather is incredibly skilled in process improvement and focused on patient-centered care,” Todd Forkel, CEO of Altru, said in the post. “Combined with her depth of knowledge about the healthcare industry and organizational expertise, she is well-positioned to lead our operations and continue the pursuit of Altru’s vision and fulfillment of our mission.”
