Amid changes in the Walgreen executive suite, Walgreen shareholders approved the acquisition of the remaining 55 percent of Alliance Boots that the company doesn’t already own. Walgreen purchased the first 45 percent of Alliance Boots in 2012.

Walgreen pharmacies in the U.S. will now fall under a new holding company called Walgreens Boots Alliance and will begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “WBA.”

According to the report, the new holding company will remain in the U.S., though there was talk of moving the headquarters overseas for a lower tax rate.
