Bethel, Alaska-based Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. named Patricia Smith president and CEO.
Ms. Smith had served as interim president and CEO for the past six months, according to a Sept. 25 health system news release.
She has worked for YKHC for nearly 30 years in various roles. Before becoming interim president and CEO, she served as vice president of outpatient care and village health, overseeing an $85 million operating budget, the outpatient clinic in Bethel, 42 village clinics and five sub-regional clinics.
As president and CEO, Ms. Smith will oversee YKHC’s healthcare system, including the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital, 47 village health clinics and behavioral health and public health programs serving 58 federally recognized tribes across Southwest Alaska.
