Alameda Health System’s new CMO is Dr. Ghassan Jamaleddine: 4 things to know

Alameda (Calif.) Health System added Ghassan Jamaleddine, MD, as its new chief medical officer.

Here are four things to know:

1. As the new CMO, Dr. Jamaleddine will oversee clinical operations at the health system and will also play a part in the further development of Alameda Health Partners, the health system’s physician organization.

2. Most recently, Dr. Jamaleddine worked as CMO at New York City-based NYC Health + Hospital/Kings County.

3. He has also served as an associate professor of medicine and clinical associate dean for the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in New York City.

4. He succeeds Joe A. Walker, MD, who has served as acting CMO since October 2015.
