Alabama Hospital Association CEO Mike Horsley to retire

Alabama Hospital Association President and CEO Mike Horsley will retire at the end of 2015, according to the American Hospital Association.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Horsley.

1. He began his tenure at the Alabama Hospital Association in 1991.

2. Alabama Hospital Association Chairman Clark Christianson, who serves as president and CEO of Providence Health System in Mobile, Ala., said Mr. Horsley “has been an invaluable asset for our hospitals” and “will definitely be missed.”

3.  Mr. Horsley is the former commissioner of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and the Alabama Medicaid Agency.
