Jeremy Gray was named president of Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Ala., and Red Bay (Ala.) Hospital, both part of Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital Health System, according to a health system news release shared with Becker’s. He will begin the role Aug. 3.
Mr. Gray brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including leading hospital operations at St. Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville, Tenn., and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Georgia and South Carolina for United Surgical Partners International, according to the release.
He succeeds Kyle Buchanan, who was named president of Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville earlier this year. Interim president Sherry Sands, MSN, RN, will return to her role as vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer for both hospitals.
Huntsville Hospital Health System is a nonprofit system with 15 hospitals and approximately 2,768 beds serving North Alabama and southern Tennessee, with more than 21,000 employees. The system has recently expanded its footprint through affiliations with critical access hospitals in the region.
