Akron Children’s names CMIO

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital named Sarah Rush, MD, a pediatric oncologist who’s been with the system since 2013, as its new chief medical information officer, according to the Akron Beach Journal.

As CMIO, Dr. Rush will oversee the hospital’s clinical information systems by working closely with medical staff, administration and Akron’s IT department to optimize its EHR.

Dr. Rush specializes in treating children with brain and spinal cord tumors. Since 2016, she has been an active member of the hospital’s physician informatics group.
