1. Mr. Kowal is currently is vice president of financial strategy at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
2. He has previously served as regional CFO at Chicago-based Presence Health.
3. He also has worked as finance director for decision support services at University of California-San Francisco Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco.
4. Mr. Kowal holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health in Chapel Hill.
5. He succeeds Michael Trainer, who is retiring.
