Akron Children’s Hospital appoints new CIO

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital named Harun Rashid vice president and CIO.

Most recently, Mr. Rashid served as vice president for international services and vice president for telehealth services at Pittsburgh-based UPMC. He also served as vice president for global health services and CIO of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Pittsburgh-based Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC and Pittsburgh-based Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC.

“We are very excited to have Harun on our leadership team at Akron Children’s,” said Akron Children’s Hospital COO Grace Wakulchik in a statement.
