Air Methods brings in RCM expertise: 6 things to know

Air Methods, a medical transport provider, appointed David Stratton and Chris Myers to leadership positions.

Here are six things to know about the leaders.

David Stratton was appointed senior vice president of payer strategy.

1. In his new role, Mr. Stratton will develop and implement reimbursement strategies for the company's air medical services operations, according to a news release.

2. Mr. Stratton joins Air Methods from Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, where he served as national vice president of payer strategy and operations.

3. He also previously worked at United Healthcare in various areas, such as health plan financial management, healthcare economics and reimbursement services.

Chris Myers was appointed senior vice president of patient business services.

4. In his new role, Mr. Myers will head Air Methods' revenue cycle office, among other responsibilities.

5. Most recently, he was senior vice president of revenue cycle management for Trident USA Health Services, which provides bedside diagnostics, laboratory services and hospice care.

6. His previous roles also include positions at AmerisourceBergen, Pharmerica and HealthSouth.
