Aiken (S.C.) Regional Medical Centers added Matt Merrifield as COO, according to an Aiken Standard report.
Here are three notes:
1. Mr. Merrifield most recently served as associate administrator at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
2. He has healthcare leadership experience at both for-profit and nonprofit health systems.
3. Aiken Regional Medical Centers is a 245-bed acute-care facility. A subsidiary of King of Prussia, PA-based Universal Health Services, owns and operates the hospital.
