The American Hospital Association's Section for Metropolitan Hospitals has named its 2014 leaders.
Reginald Coopwood, MD, is serving as chairman of the Metropolitan Section's governing council for 2014. He currently serves as president and CEO of Regional Medical Center at Memphis (Tenn.).
The following are newly-elected members of the 24-member council who will serve a three-year term that began on Jan. 1.
Kathleen R. Becker, president of SSM St. Mary's Health Center in Richmond Heights, Mo.
John Brumsted, M.D., president and CEO of Burlington, Vt.-based Fletcher Allen Healthcare
Pat Currie, president and COO of Baylor Scott & White Health Central Texas in Temple
Kreg Gruber, president of Memorial Hospital of South Bend (Ind.)
Catherine Jacobson, president and CEO of Froedtert Health in Milwaukee
George Proctor, senior vice president and executive director of Woodhull Medical & Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
William Sisson, president and regional executive of Baptist Health Lexington (Ky.)
The following members were elected to a one-year term.
