Mr. Skogsbergh will assume chairmanship in 2016, and will be the top elected official of the AHA.
“It is an exciting time to be a healthcare leader as we work to improve the care we provide patients and I look forward to working with the AHA and its members in support of the AHA mission to advance the health of individuals and communities,” Mr. Skogsbergh said in a news release.
In addition to his role running Advocate Health Care, Mr. Skogsbergh is a member of the AHA Board of Trustees and Executive committee, chair of the Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care and a member of the AHA SmartMarket board.
