Abel Biri has been appointed CEO of AdventHealth Orlando (Fla.), the flagship facility of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth.
His new role also includes executive oversight of AdventHealth for Children, according to a June 30 health system news release.
Mr. Biri most recently served as CEO of AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Fla., for eight years, where he led the launch of a children’s emergency department and the opening of a new patient tower. He previously served as COO of AdventHealth Waterman and AdventHealth Orlando.
He succeeds Rob Deininger, who was named president and CEO of the AdventHealth East Florida Division.
