Dr. Barnes began her 43-yearslong healthcare career as a teen volunteer at AdventHealth Redmond, where she worked for 30 years.
Before becoming CMO, she occupied roles as a switchboard operator, nurse aid, nurse and physician, according to the release from the Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based system.
Her successor has not been named.
