Acadia Healthcare names chief development officer, vice president of government relations

Acadia Healthcare has announced the appointments of David Keys, chief development officer, and Osei Mevs, vice president of government relations, for the Franklin, Tenn.-based behavioral health system.

Mr. Keys has spent more than 15 years in investment banking and mergers and acquisitions advisory work, an Oct. 11 news release said. He previously served in managing director roles for Atlanta-based Truist Securities and Winston-Salem, N.C.-based BB&T Capital Markets.

Keys co-founded Averhealth, a provider of substance use disorder treatment services and care management programs for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. 

Mr. Mevs brings more than 20 years of experience in government relations, public policy, regulatory research, business development and community outreach to Acadia, an Oct. 11 news release said. He most recently served as president of Nashville, Tenn.-based digital education provider Maxx Content. 

Mr. Mevs previously served as a regional executive with the American Hospital Association and held several leadership positions at Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, including director of government relations and chief of staff to the chairman and CEO, the news release said.
