Abington Health Taps Dr. Jonathan Sternlieb for CMIO Role

Abington (Pa.) Health has hired Jonathan Sternlieb, MD, as CMIO.

Dr. Sternlieb will assist in the planning and implementation of Abington Health’s new clinical information systems, as well as provide leadership on clinical decision support and evidence-based clinical improvement initiatives.

Dr. Sternlieb, a practicing gastroenterologist, recently completed a graduate certificate program in biomedical and health informatics at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland.

“I look forward to partnering with Dr. Sternlieb and utilizing his talents moving forward as we plan clinical information strategy and tactical plans,” said Alison Ferren, vice president of performance excellence and IT at Abington Health, in a news release. “His expertise in clinical workflow in the inpatient and ambulatory settings will be a wonderful asset to Abington Health.”
