Here are five things to know about Mr. Mathisen.
1. Reporting to Mr. Mathisen, as COO, are the CNO, CMO and vice president of support and ancillary services.
2. Mr. Mathisen has served as COO of two healthcare centers in the military, and he has a background in physician practice management. He was previously responsible for the multispecialty physician practices of Bon Secours Medical Group in Virginia. He has held senior executive positions at Munson Army Health Center in Kansas, Kirk Army Health Clinic in Maryland, All Good Army Community Hospital in South Korea, and Weed Army Community Hospital in California.
3. Mr. Mathisen completed a healthcare administrative fellowship with Humana, working with Florida Medicare and Medicaid Products.
4. Mr. Mathisen earned a bachelor’s degree in public management from the University of Maine in Orono and a master’s degree in health administration from BaylorUniversity in Waco, Texas.
5. Mr. Mathisen is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
