Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They're listed below, in alphabetical order, by the executive's last name.

1. Richard Azizkhan, MD, president and CEO of Omaha, Neb.-based Children's Hospital & Medical Center, is retiring, effective Aug. 16.

2. David Baumgartner, MD, CMO of Mercy Health St. Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich., is retiring, effective Sept. 6.

3. Harrisburg, Pa.-based UPMC Pinnacle tapped Louis Baverso to serve as president of its Cumberland region.

4. Matthew Brengman, MD, was named associate CMO for Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Parham Doctors' Hospital and Retreat Doctors' Hospital, all in Richmond, Va.

5. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System has named David L. Callender, MD, president and CEO, effective Sept. 1.

6. Renton, Wash.-based Providence St. Joseph Health named Randall Castillo CEO of St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, Calif., effective Aug. 5.

7. Marcia Cook, DNP, RN, will serve as CNO at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa.

8. Cherokee (Iowa) Regional Medical Center appointed Melissa Cunningham, RN, new vice president of clinical services and CNO.

9. Medical City North Hills hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas, has appointed Mark Deno CEO, effective Aug. 5.

10. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health selected Michael Englehart to serve as interim CEO of Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio, effective July 25.

11. Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls has tapped Tami Frost to serve as chief nursing officer.

12. Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla., has selected Kim Hatchel, DNP, to serve as chief nursing officer.

13. IU Health Tipton (Ind.) Hospital appointed Melissa Hicks, DNP, chief nursing officer.

14. Robert Hoban, president of Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit and Ascension River District Hospital in East China, Mich., is leaving the role for a leadership position with the Ascension Michigan Foundation until his retirement next year.

15. Lynn C. Kosar, RN, will become CNO at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa.

16. Akron (Ohio) Children's Hospital has selected Craig McGhee to serve as chief ambulatory officer.

17. Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Wash., has tapped Ralph Parker, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

18. East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro has tapped Stephen Pennington to serve as CEO.

19. Erie, Pa.-based Saint Vincent Hospital named Sallie Piazza chief nursing officer.

20. Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit selected Heath Roberts to serve as COO, effective July 22.

21. Largo (Fla.) Medical Center named Glenn Romig CFO, effective July 29.

22. Baton Rouge, La.-based Woman's Hospital has eliminated the chief strategy officer position, ousting Stan Shelton.

23. Renton, Wash.-based Providence St. Joseph Health has selected Seth R. Teigen to serve as chief executive of Mission Hospital, with campuses in Mission Viejo, Calif., and Laguna Beach, Calif., effective Aug. 5.

24. Kirkland, Wash.-based EvergreenHealth appointed Jeff Tomlin, MD, as its CEO.

25. Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Ore., named Michael van Duren, MD, its new CMO.

26. HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wis., has selected John L. Wagner to serve as president and CEO, effective Sept. 30.

27. Blanchard Valley Health System in Findlay, Ohio, appointed James Wellman CIO.

28. Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Memorial Medical Center appointed Mark J. Wright senior vice president and CFO, effective Aug. 5.
