CFO Jamey Stoner: A Top Performer Within Health Management Associates

Health Management Associates, the Naples, Fla.-based for-profit hospital operator, has 66 hospitals within its system, and last month, it named Jamey Stoner as "CFO of the Year" among all its facilities.

Mr. Stoner is the CFO of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, a 123-bed hospital nestled in Mooresville, N.C. He has been at Lake Norman Regional for the past 11 years, starting as an assistant CFO. In 2004, he was promoted to his current role.

Angela Marchi, RN, the Atlantic Division president of Health Management, said in 2011, Mr. Stoner was able to help Lake Norman Regional achieve financial strength, and he implemented several financial goals, which overall helped Health Management to record positive earnings last year.

Greg Lowe, CEO of Lake Norman Regional, added that Mr. Stoner's financial career and current strategic successes exemplify productive hospital CFOs.

"Jamey's expertise in hospital finance paired with his knowledge of our hospital and desire for excellence makes him an ideal recipient for this award," Mr. Lowe said in a news release. "He is an integral part of our leadership team and never forgets that our people are our most important asset."
